Modifications I have done to my 

 

Kawasaki ZX-12R  A1  2000 year model.

 

 

 

Kleen Air removed

 

Crankcase Vacuum

 

Throttle Body Rubber 'Velocity Stacks' - remove lip

 

Akrapovic Exhaust System - full titanium

 

Ignition Advance (static) - 6 degrees

 

Throttle Position Sensor Modification

 

Front Sprocket - 17 tooth

 

Factory Pro - Evo Shift Star Kit

 

BMC Race Air Filters - did have K & N's (early type) - but they do not fit well

 

Power Commander PC3 Usb

 

Power Commander Map

 

I have not had my ZX12 on a dyno, but have tried several of the maps

on my Power Commander page. With my particular engine modifications

and set up, I have had best results using this map -

Quick Action Throttle Insert

 

EBC-HH Brake Pads - front and rear

 

Goodridge Brake Hoses - front and rear

 

 

 

Tyres - 120/70/17 - 190/55/17 - (since August 2016)  Michelin Pilot Road 4

Pressures - front 34 psi - rear 38 psi

The best mileage I have had out of any rear tyre period, 5800 miles

 

Tyres - 120/70/17 - 190/50/17 - (07-04-2013)

Tyre Pressures - 34 psi front - 38 psi rear (this is my preference) sport touring tyres)

 

 

I Used To Use These Tyres - 120/60/17 - 180/55/17

Tyre Pressures - 34 psi front - 38 psi rear (this is my preference) sport touring tyres)

 

Just a word of warning, using 120/60/17 - 180/55/17 tyre sizes,

you will be able to turn and change direction easier.

But watch your lean angle!!!!

You will get to the edge of your tyre much easier,

and could ride off the edge of the tyre !!!!
